Desperate for love , Hong-Jo wonders if her spell was a success. Sin-Yu later brings Hong-Jo along on a trip for a spell of his own.
The red hand once again starts crawling through Jang Sin-Yu’s body.
He struggles to drive and ends up causing an accident.
He comes to the bar to meet Na-Yeon and find her passed out. Turns out she was just acting just to make him feel bad since she does not feel that important to him even when they are dating for last two years.
He looks apologetic for standing her up. He informs her that he was in an accident. He just sent the car to repair shop and took cab there to meet her.
Na-Yeon gets worried and she suggests him to go to hospital. He tells her that she was waiting for him and it is not that serious. She complains that if he does not recover then he will make excuses like he has backache when it will be the time to go to honeymoon.
He tells her that it will never happen.
Next Moment, Na Yeon is leaving the bar enraged and Jang Sin-Yu following her fast. Apparently he wants to postpone the marriage. He is asking for time.
He catches hold of her hand.
“Na-Yeon.”
“I knew something was going on when you decided to quit your job and moved to Onju on your own. Dad said you came to help him & felt so proud. But that’s not it is , right? My friend is getting married soon. She asked me to catch the bouquet. Thats why i had drinks. And we had so much fun talking about who’d catch my bouquet. why today of all days?”
He takes her hand and says – I have a question. Are we breaking up?
Na Yeon – then what is this?why do you need time? For what?
“There is something i need to figure out.”
“We can figure it out together.”
“I need to do it alone. Can you wait a little for me?”
On the other hand , Lee Hong-Jo casting the love spell.
The process is – “When the rose starts to bloom in the milk, burn this page and mix it with the ingredients. When the rose blooms completely , filter it in a burlap bag. When the water becomes clear……it will become a love potion.”

Next day morning , we see that Gi-Beom is preparing a conference room for an upcoming meeting.
Lee Hong-Jo very discreetly goes inside the room and pours the love potion in a glass which seems to be Jae-Gyong’s glass.
Meeting starts and Hong-Jo tries to peep through the door however her adventure is cut short when she gets a call from Mr. Gong. She had to run to meet him. She was asked to go to that roadside hanging garden which was sabotaged last night. She mistakenly keeps the water bottle on the table while leaving for the garden.
She is devastated when she sees the situation of the hanging garden.
Meanwhile Jang Sin-Yu plans to take a leave. Gi-Dong vehemently protests.
Jang Sin-Yu – you said that nobody would come for a consultation for a while.
Gi-Dong – Still it’s too soon.
Meanwhile , Lee hong-Jo enters.
She hurriedly asks – i really didn’t want to ask for your help , but i have no choice.
Gi-Dong – there goes your day off. Have a nice consultation. Some lunatic crashed into the median strip and wrecked the hanging baskets along a 50-meter stretch. What should I do?
Jang Sin-Yu – dont do anything. The insurance will cover it.
Lee Hong-Jo – we worked so hard hanging them. Not just me , but the seniors too. We worked while drivers cussed at us for blocking the road. I can’t let it slide. I will sue the person. I am pretty sure he drank and drove.
Jang Sin-Yu – it was not drunk driving.
Lee Hong-Jo – then it was drowsy driving. Someone who is sober could not crash into them like that.
Jang Sin-Yu – the brakes did not work.
Lee Hong-Jo – are you siding with the offender now? You are The City Hall’s lawyer. Citizens sue civil servants for the smallest things. Why can’t we sue someone too? They are a criminal.
Jang Sin-Yu – According to the Civil law, He is only responsible For the damage. He filed a report, The insurance company came ,The police investigated him, And he proved that it was not intentional. So he did not violate the Criminal act .4, road traffic act , Nor special traffic accidents.
Lee Hong-Jo – How do you know it was intentional or not?Did you say that he did not do it intentionally ?
Jang Sin-Yu – Yes.
Lee Hong-Jo – Did you meet him?
Jang Sin-Yu – You are meeting him now too.
Lee hong-Jo looks here and there inside the cabin but finds nobody then it dawns to her that he might be talking about himself.
Lee Hong-Jo – Don’t tell me ………
Jang Sin-Yu – It was me who caused the accident.
Lee Hong-Jo – Why on earth did you do that?
Jang Sin-Yu – Should not you ask if I am okay first? You are worried about baskets, not me?
Lee Hong-Jo – You are perfectly fine. You even went to the development plan meeting .
Jang Sin-Yu – How did you know I was there?
Lee Hong-Jo – you are no help.
Jang Sin-Yu – Go down and apply for a day off. Meet me in the parking lot in ten.
Lee Hong-Jo – why?
Jang Sin-Yu – You are going on a trip with me.
Lee Hong-Jo – Why would I?
Jang Sin-Yu – You promised to give me one spell And take the rest yourself. I want my spell today.
Lee Hong-Jo – this is ridiculous. You want me to take a day off after ruining my baskets? Look here. This is an emergency. I need to go clean up the mess you have made.
Jang Sin-Yu – Are you the only one in your department? Others can go clean them up.
Lee Hong-Jo – that’s my task.
Jang Sin-Yu – I saw the organizational chart. Everyone else’s tasks ended in one or two line, But yours had seven lines. That’s unfair. Go tell your coworkers who are always sitting around to clean them up. Let us disappear for a day.
She comes back to her office. Her colleagues discuss in front of her eyes that she is unlucky that one day she is dumped and the other day her work got destroyed in front of her own eyes.
They keep making fun of her. They even went ahead to mimic how she behaved in front of Jae-Gyong. She had enough. She goes to Mr. gong for a day off but Mr. Gong approves even before she asks.
Mr. Gong keeps calling someone on phone but the phone is switched off. Its Ms. Ma Eun-Yeong, the manager of the same team. He leaves her a message.

She starts packing for her impromptu trip with Jang Sin-Yu. Basically , she is at her wits’ end to find someone so educated like Jang Sin-Yu believing these spells.
Lee Hong-Jo – why should I go on this trip?
Jang Sin-Yu – because if you get a boy friend , its thanks to me.
She finds him sitting and reading the spell book while she packs. She runs after him to take a hold of spell book.
Jang Sin-Yu –You must have believed in such a superstition.
Lee Hong-Jo – Give me that.
Jang Sin-Yu – Someone so educated like you used the love spell already?
She runs after him to take the book but he keeps the hand up. Thus , they end up bickering.
Lee Hong-Jo – Give me that.
Jang Sin-Yu –Take it if you can.
She starts tickling him thus cornering him on sofa and taking the book away from him. He visibly feel a bit different with that proximity.
His heart starts beating a bit faster. He looks at Lee hong-jo in a way which signifies that he might have starting to have feelings for her. she catches the book.
Lee Hong-Jo – I did not use the love spell.
Jang Sin-Yu –That’s the only page missing.
Lee Hong-Jo – It was not that. I used the spell for losing weight or getting pretty.
Jang Sin-Yu – I have a photographic memory. I remember everything. Should I decide the book from beginning to end?
Lee Hong-Jo – Fine I used the love spell. Happy now?
Jang Sin-Yu – you are very fast. When did you use it?
Lee Hong-Jo – You said it was mine. it did not matter how I use it.
Jang Sin-Yu – The spell book is precious. put it in the wooden box.
Lee Hong-Jo – i will.
Anyways , throughout her journey she keeps wondering whether Kwon Jae-Gyong drank the love potion.
Lee Hong-Jo – Why does it have to be today?
Jang Sin-Yu –I happened to want it today.
Lee Hong-Jo – The Hanging baskets were totally wrecked , But your car seems fine.
Jang Sin-Yu – That car is in the repair shop.
Lee Hong-Jo – So you have two cars. Your dad gave you everything. What more do you want with the spell? I need to know too. What spell do you want so badly that we had to drive so far?
Jang Sin-Yu – Don’t worry I won’t take the fair skin spell.
Lee Hong-Jo – By the way are you hurt anywhere? It was a car accident after all. Is it okay for you to drive?
Jang Sin-Yu – Do you want to drive instead? Can you drive? Instead?
Lee Hong-Jo – of course I can. Gosh ! My licence is kept safely in my closet. So it’s clean. I should have brought it.
Jang Sin-Yu – why keep your license in the closet? To wear it? Its a self-driving car. Dont worry and sleep.
Lee Hong-Jo – i am not the type to sleep in a car. Thats rude to the driver.
Jang Sin-Yu – I see.
but after sometime she dozes off inside the car.
He looks at sleeping Hong-Jo and places her head properly on her seat. While he is at it , he kind of wonders why he is doing this.

Jae-Gyong sees the video of her proposal to him on his mobile phone. He is pissed off. Although he rejected her, he did not want her to be humiliated like that.
He makes a call to hong-jo’s office. Her colleague answers the call. She informs him that she has taken a day off but he can talk to her. Jae-Gyong asks them to spare a second. Suddenly both the colleagues are happy that Kwon Jae-Gyong wants to meet them.
Turns out they are the people who filmed and spread the video. They showed it to one person and it ultimately spread to the whole Office. Jae-Gyong threatens them with legal actions and tell them that he will not report this to the audit team. However , he would want them to delete the video in front of his own eyes.

Jang Sin-Yu and Lee Hong-Jo reach a villa . She loves the place. He tells her that this is his own villa. She wants to eat pork belly and go camping but Jang Sin-Yu is not in the mood.
“Is there is no one else there Do we have to spend the night alone? Shouldn’t you react like this?” – Jang Sin-Yu.
Does being alone with me concern you? – Lee hong Jo.
He looks at her from top to bottom.
Yes, very much. You might do something to me. -Jang Sin-Yu.
Look , some people might find you very attractive. But to me , you are not even half of half of half As attractive as pork belly. I won’t do anything to you, so don’t worry. – Lee hong Jo.
It’s not that way. Get ready. we will climb the mountain. -Jang Sin-Yu.
We are going hiking? – Lee hong Jo.
She keeps on complaining about the fact that she had to come to Jirisan Mountain. They are trying to find a flower- Rhododendron fauriei. She gets to understand that he is trying cast cure disease spell. She is worried for him as well as shocked that being a hot-shot lawyer , he still is trying to get into superstitious stuff.
Jang Sin-Yu – Do you believe in miracles?
Lee hong Jo – no , not at all.
Jang Sin-Yu –What about curses?
Lee hong Jo – curses…..I believe in them.
Jang Sin-Yu – Then you will get what I am going to say. I am cursed.
Lee hong Jo – Now is not the time to joke around. go to a hospital if you are sick. You dont have time for this.
Jang Sin-Yu – Have you ever been desperate for something? So desperate that you would grass straws?
Lee hong Jo – i have.
Jang Sin-Yu – Then be quiet and keep searching before the sun sets.
Lee hong Jo – Now I want to do it even less.
They finally find the flower they are looking for. Its up above a slab. Hong-Jo is not able to catch it. Jang Sin-Yu extends the branch to help her pluck it. They had a moment.
Jang Sin-Yu – even wizards don’t entrust their wands to muggles. You are a witch. I am a Muggle. Pluck it yourself.
They start preparing for the spell. Jang Sin-Yu looks at his watch. He is looking dapper in black suit. And she is lighting a candle wearing all white. Jang Sin-Yu is taken aback to see how stunning she looks.
She starts with the spell. The process is – “ Before casting the spell , cleanse your mind and body with bathing. Wear neat and white clothes. Cast it at night., at a place full of grass when the full moon is at the highest. Place brassware on red silk embroidered with plum blossoms. Add chocolate vine , wild ginseng fruits , antler reishi and the rhododendron fauriei. Mash them with a pestle and squeeze out the juice. Sincerely hoping for the person to heal , use the juice to write on the palm of sick person … the character ‘life’.
She writes the same on his palm. He touches his palm to his heart. She burns the page of the spell as per instruction then she blows the ashes towards him.
Lee hong Jo – do u feel any better?
Jang Sin-Yu – he says that his heart is beating faster.
She wonders whether its a good thing or bad thing. He tells her to go inside. He tries to leave the place when hong-Jo stops him. He removes her hand like some virus. He tells her rudely – can’t you just go in first?
Lee hong Jo – are you getting mad at me? When i came all the way here , wore this strange dress , and did my best to help you?
Jang Sin-Yu – what’s strange about it? I think you look pretty in it.
She does not know how to react. He leaves the place and removes the tie. He feels suffocated. His heart is constricted. He sees that the trembling of his hands have stopped.
At night , she wonders whether the spell has worked. She knocks on Jang Sin-Yu’s doors to find out how he is feeling but he does not answer back. He is sleeping on his bed. He has a dream of a young girl of Joseon Era.

Next Morning , not finding Jang Sin-Yu , Hong-jo calls her up only to find him taking a walk in the forest outside. She follows him to ask how he is feeling but he answers her curtly that she should pack so that they can leave.
While getting inside the car , she gets a call from Jae-Gyong. Jae-Gyong is feeling guilty about what happened and wonders whether the real reason behind her not coming to the office is the video rumour. She assures him that it is not the only reason , she also had to attend to a personal matter. He asks her if they can meet after work. She happily agrees to it thinking that the love spell has indeed worked. So therefore , cure disease spell will work too.
Jang Sin-Yu notices how her tone and behavior changes when its Kwon Jae-Gyong and is annoyed. They leave for seoul.

Next morning , Mr. Gong is looking at his phone waiting for Ms. Ma to message back but there is no answer.
Next moment , we find Ms. Ma in person at office.
She is thankful in a way that he thought of reaching her out when things were against her always.

Jang Sin-Yu & Lee Hong-Jo stops for eating for wild veggie bibimpam. At first he does not agree to eat , but finally he comes around.
While on her way back , she keeps looking at the phone for messages from Kwon Jae-Gyong because that will serve as a confirmation for love spell working. Finally she receives his message and gets all excited.
He drops her at her home. He notices that she did not take the white dress. He tells her that she can sell the dress to the thrift shop or deal with it however she wants but this dress belongs to her.
He drives back home and takes a nap on sofa. It seemed like he kept reminiscing about the conversation she had with kwon jae-gyong and it bothered him. He decided to snap out off and sleep it off.
At home , hong-Jo is getting all excited at the prospect of meeting Kwon Jae-Gyong out.

Next day , Hong-Jo reaches office. The colleagues once again taunt her for making mess of the hanging garden. She finds that the tumbler she had is not on her desk. Turns out everyone drank water from that tumbler. Its the love potion tumbler.
Ms. Ma reaches office. She introduces herself to Lee Hong-Jo. She asks everyone to attend a team dinner. Lee Hong-jo had to cancel the dinner plan she had with Kwon Jae-Gyong.

While going out for team dinner , she meets Jang Sin-Yu. She corners him and tells him that she is meeting him tomorrow instead today so she cannot check if the spell worked but she thinks it did. He said he overworks a lot and tomorrow is good too.
More than the information about her date , he is visibly shaken at her close proximity.
She asks him how he is feeling. He said there is side effects like chest feeling tight , heart beating fast etc. he did not have them before.
They could not continue the conversation when Mr. Gong calls again for her.
She advises him to give it some time.

Jang Sin-Yu feels his heart constricted. His mind goes back to Lee Hong-jo. How her face looked when she was all excited. How he felt when she was leaving for dinner. He thinks he will not be able to drive in such conditions.
He comes back home and finds Na-Yeon waiting for him. She clearly came to spend time with her and to discuss ongoing issue between them. She is trying to invade his privacy by being cute. He finally tells her to stop this due to intrusive attitude of hers. Clearly he asked for time but she is not buying it. She starts complaining that during two years of togetherness , he never told her anything important. Neither he is giving any clear reason for break up . he does not give any clear answer however offers her to drive home. But she rejects.

Ms. Ma decides to go for a lunch together. She decides on Cafeteria as per hong-jo’s suggestion. Suddenly , Mr. Gong’s behavior has changed towards her. Rest of the two colleagues wonder what exactly happened with him !

Lee hong-Jo gives a call to Jang Sin-Yu and asks him how he is feeling. He catches on her that actual reason for her call is to understand whether the spell worked.
He tells her that he still does not feel much well and that she should stop blushing , fidgeting and tucking her hair behind her ears because he personally hates that. He then goes on to disconnect the call. She wonders what wrong she did to get behaved this way by him and he keeps on wondering how she looked. Meanwhile Gi-Dong enters to find that he has already read 200 pages of files. He is shocked. He came to ask him for joining mayor for dinner. But he turns him down and rather interested to know where Mr. Kwon Jae-Gyong is heading.

At a restaurant , Kwon Jae-Gyong is waiting for Lee hong Jo. they meet and Jang Sin-Yu too reaches there. And he onlooks on them feeling a bit of Jealousy.
He was planning to confront them but thinks against it at the last moment. He wonders what is wrong with him. He remembers that it has started to happen after the conference he attended.
He goes on to check the CCTV footage and finds that he drank the water, the love potion that she prepared for Kwon Jae-Gyong. He starts reminiscing the moments when his heart fluttered everytime looking at hong-jo. He concludes that it all happened because of the love potion.
He decides to confront her when she reaches home from her dinner.
She is astonished to find him waiting. He tells her that there is no way love spell worked on him. Because Kwon Jae-Gyong truly likes her and he likes her too.
She is shocked.
